Our History

HR Hospitalar is part of the Henri Reynaud Group, a Portuguese company that has belonged to the same family for four generations.

The Henri Reynaud Group was founded in 1933 to represent Hoffmann La Roche. Since then, it has developed its commercial activity, representing high quality brands in different markets: hospital, pharmacy, high-end retail, mass market, agriculture and board games. It is a group with a solid commercial experience, a wide network of contacts and strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

The group consists of four commercial companies. Pangiter, in the pharmaceutical market, with personal & beauty care and healthcare products, and in mass market with household products, being also present in perfumeries and online stores. HR Hospitalar in the hospital market, Quelmer in the agricultural market and MEBO in the board games market, totalling about 50 employees.

Founded in 1988, HR Hospitalar has more than 30 years of experience, know-how and local knowledge. The company offers a full service of brand management in the Portuguese market for medical devices and hospital consumables.

The company’s portfolio has been diversified over the years with constant concern on high quality products, from reputed international brands represented and distributed in exclusivity in the market.

Currently HR Hospitalar has more than 600 references and focuses its area of activity on: Protection Equipment, General Clinical Supplies, Surgical Devices, Infection Control Supplies as well as Innovative and Specialized Products.

Over the years the company has expanded into new channels and adapted itself to better suit the needs of a constantly changing market and partners. Never compromising the safety and always complying with the medical devices’ legislation, HR Hospitalar has a quality department with high standards that validates the proper conditions of the medical devices from purchase to the delivery to its customers.
